4 held with rhino horn and AK 47

Four youths from Mendabari village in Alipurduar`s Kalchini block were arrested on Wednesday in possession of a 3.44kg rhino horn and an AK 47, Forty six live cartridges were seized from them as well.


Sanjay Rava, Lapchu Rava, Subol Rava and Arjun Rava all aged between 30 and 40 were nabbed from sanjay house by the forest department of Jaldapara Forest Division after a tip off. We arrested the other three person after interrogating Sanjay said DFO Bhaskar JV.

Officials are not ruling out involvement of these tribal youths with insurgent outfits active in Assam
